I hope you all have a very merry Christmas today! Before I go to work, I'll leave you all with a few pics... Here I am practicing buttonholes on my new machine. (my new used machine) This is the one I won on ebay. I forgot I hadn't used it yet when I got under my Christmas dress time crunch. lol
Here is the finished dress. I think it's totally cute. I'll definitely make this pattern again. I'm not happy with the twin needle stitching on the spaghetti tubing, but I'll have to deal with that later. I'm also not sure that I lined the front correctly. I've put out a call to Cheryl since I see that she recently made one, too.

Laura, Your Lucy is adorable!!! I didn't worry about the pleat in my lining...I cut the lining front piece out of the regular dress front piece. Merry Christmas! :)
Cheryl to the rescue! I almost did that, but instead, I underlined each front piece and then made a new yoke lining, so the armholes could be turned. What a pain! lol
Oh, it's absolutely adorable!!! You did a fabulous job. Look at the little polka dots inside the pleat!! I hope we get to see it modeled on your granddaughter!
Lizzie is about the cutest little kitty I've ever seen. Look at her bravely defending her pile o'scraps! My kitties, especially Desdemona, are my constant companions in the sewing room. Their presence keeps things lively!
I agree! The dress is sooooo precious. I also would like to see a pic of the granddaughter in it!!! What a lovely way to initiate your new-to-you sewing machine!
